HOW TO ENTER
ENTRY
STEP 01
Catch
Use any authentic Billiken Lure. Colors and safe customizations are free.
STEP 02
Measure
Place a metric measure on a flat surface and measure the fish with its mouth fully closed.
STEP 03
Post
Post publicly with either official hashtag and mention @billikenlure.
STEP 04
Enter
Publish the Instagram post, or email the required details and files. No website form is required.
REQUIRED EVIDENCE
- 1. A photo or video showing the full fish, its closed mouth and a readable measurement.
- 2. A photo or video clearly showing a Billiken Lure hooked in the fish’s mouth.
- Optional: the strike/catch, lure action, customization and the story behind the catch.

Use the subject “BILLIKEN CHALLENGE 2026 Entry” and include your name/display name, country/region, fish species, length, catch date, Billiken Lure/customization and catch story.
Attach the required measurement evidence and a photo/video clearly showing a Billiken Lure hooked in the fish’s mouth.

OFFICIAL RULES
RULES
MeasurementPlace the measure on a flat surface. Fully close the fish’s mouth, align the tip of its snout/lower jaw with zero, show the entire fish and readable scale, and record the longest point of the naturally positioned tail. Evidence that alters the measurement is invalid.
TiesMeasurement clarity is checked first. Visual impact, story and originality of technique/customization are then judged. If still tied, the earlier completed valid entry takes priority.
Worldwide & safetyOverseas entries receive the same treatment. Catch dates use the local date at the fishing location; the entry deadline uses JST. Obey all local laws and fishing rules and treat fish and the environment responsibly.
Public postsInstagram entries must remain public through the results announcement. Private accounts may enter by email. Entries involving fraud, danger, illegality or rights infringement may be disqualified.
Entry license. You retain copyright. You grant the organizer a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, edit, translate, crop and subtitle the entry for judging, results and promotion of this event and Billiken Lure on official websites, social media, advertising and printed materials.
Rights and consent. You confirm that you own the necessary rights and have consent from identifiable people. Entrants who are minors must have permission from a parent or guardian.
Privacy. Personal information is used only for entry administration, judging, contact, winner announcements and prize delivery. It is not shared with third parties unless required by law and unnecessary data will generally be deleted within one year after the results.
